The Medication Aide training program is a 75 clock hour program that is designed to leave students with the knowledge and skills to be successful as certified medication aids. The role of a Medication Aide is to ensure that clients in the facility comply with their prescribed medication therapy plan as outlined by the prescribing physician and facility protocol. The Medication Aide oversees the safe and proper intake of medications and works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
